Parents in Ntoroko whose children never received their Primary Seven results are unsure of what to do next.

Last week, UNEB announced that the results for 244 pupils from seven schools in Ntoroko district were withheld over allegations of exam malpractices.  The affected schools are Masaka Primary School, Masojo Primary School, Butungama Primary School, Budiba Primary School, Kamuhiigi Primary School and Kabimbiri Primary School.

Joyce Akugizibwe, a parent whose daughter sat PLE at Makondo primary says that UNEB scouts, the police and invigilators should be held accountable not the children.

James Kasaija wants UNEB to explain why pupils and parents are forced to suffer the consequences of examination malpractice yet invigilators and UNEB are left unpunished for negligence.

Colebs Tusiime, the head teacher of Masaka Primary School says that several parents are calling him to know why the results were withheld. He says that they are yet to receive an official communication from UNEB.

The Assistant Chief Administrative officer Ntoroko district, Joan Muguma, says that they are equally puzzled by the actions of UNEB. He says that they are waiting from communication from the district education department.

This is not the first time UNEB is withholding the PLE results of Ntoroko.

In 2015, the results of Makondo Primary School were cancelled and pupils had to redo the exams in 2016.
