Busia police are holding a woman for possessing a suspected
bomb. The suspect is Angela Banamwana, 35, a resident of Kisoro
Police intercepted the
suspect on Tuesday from one of the porous
border points in Sofia
village in the Eastern division of Busia Municipality.
She was traveling from Nairobi in Kenya to Kampala. Banamwana told police that one of her friends in Kampala gave
her an item to sell to an undisclosed company in Kenya’s capital Nairobi.
She, however, says that
the company rejected the object on her arrival in Nairobi prompting her to return
it to the sender in Kampala.
