Police in Kole District are investigating the death of 45-year-old Francis Okello, whose body was found in a swamp in Adwir Village.
The body with bruises on the head, was discovered on Thursday by a resident. According to police preliminary investigations, Okello had separated from his wife, Agnes Adong, 15 years ago. Adong had recently returned to the area and allegedly chased away Okello's new wife.
The police found several exhibits at the scene, including clothes belonging to Adong, horns, and dried local herbs.
Jimmy Patrick Okema, North Kyoga Regional Police Spokesperson, said that the police are searching for Adong and an unidentified man.

Between January to March 2024 alone, a total of 338 domestic violence cases were recorded in the Sub-region, according to a police crime report.
