Women gang raped by both government soldiers and rebels in Teso sub region several years ago have began giving horrific testimonies on their ordeal. Anna Grace Nakassi in Soroti says she was raped by soldiers on three different occasions.
Nakassi a mother of 15 children says twelve soldiers gang raped her in 1987. She later developed a mental problem. Nakasi says in 1999 six soldiers raped her together with her daughter who got infected with HIV/AIDS.
She says they were raped as she was returning from where she had gone to pick her senior two daughter at Kidetok Girls Secondary School in Soroti. Nakasi HIV positive, her daughter died in 2001. She says in 2003 the Lords Resistance Army Rebels raped her and abducted her three children aged 16, 19 and 21.
