Voting in the village youth polls was marred by violence, prompting the cancellation of the exercise in various zones of Kamwokya parish.

Tensions were high at various polling stations in Green Valley Zone, Church Zone, Market Area, and Kisenyi 1 and 2 as youths voted for their village leaders. The areas saw a heavy deployment of police and military police within the polling stations.

At the Green Valley polling station, tensions flared when the returning officer halted the vote counting, citing the presence of unregistered individuals in the lines. The interruption occurred while tallying votes for NUP candidate Kidega Evan, prompting police to swiftly intervene and disperse voters from the station.

Kidega's supporters then proceeded to the Kampala Central Offices on Mawanda Road, demanding a re-election. However, they were denied access to the offices, leading them to camp outside the premises.

Kidega, who was with his supporters outside the offices, said that vote counting had been proceeding smoothly until the officers alleged that some of his supporters had infiltrated the line.
